Sapients: The Crime of Prometheus

Suppose you were to come upon a place of public where vigor was the rule and discussion the drink?
I mean one of those delightful inns of England or one of those socratic festival feasts or one of those forumatic teahouses of the east. What would you observe? you'd see the familial colors of the place and the habitual customs or the laughter, music, and dance common to all. These we still have abundantly today.  We have however, have lost an item of great worth and may not get it back until we are restored to our elder days where man's tastes were not so conceited, not so deceived, not so canine. What we have lost is man's sapiential torch. Prometheus, it seems, was sentenced for naught. 

Aeschylus, the great writer of Grecian plays crafted a grand tragedy named "Prometheus Bound." The play opens upon Prometheus paraded to his place on interment above the Hellenic hell hole known as Tartarus. He is chained there by Hephaestus at the dark behest of Zeus. Upon what cause was he to face an immortal life sentence? He elevated man and gave him greater honor than man deserved because among many other arts and sciences, Prometheus gifted man the burning element, fire. 

Why would Zeus be so enraged at such a gift? Man could easily have discovered it on his own, after all fire is not scarce. Why such a dire consequence for Prometheus? Because fire is not fire. Fire is symbolic. 

The symbology of a torch can be found everywhere and in every man's time. The symbol of the torch can be seen in the upheld hand of the Statue of Liberty. It is also a longstanding tradition in the Olympic Games to have a torch always lit. What is the symbology of the torch?

A torch represents enlightenment and wisdom. The reason for Prometheus's doom was not theft, nor was it because he was charitable; rather it was because he created sapience in man.

Man was now wise. Man now had discernment. Man was now like unto the gods. Prometheus was punished accordingly.

The torch that Prometheus granted to man has been held up from generation to generation. Sometimes the torch shown brightly for some and dim for others; some were altogether blind to it. 

as was mentioned earlier, what the great dining establishments had and we don't is the light of the sapiene torch of wise, noble, and uplifting conversation.
