Fire and the Law

Forewarn an attempt on the law,
Scruple over every detail;
Lest villainy moraine upon us all,
And the the blind eye of justice unveil.

Forestall the furnace flame,
Restrict the fire to it’s place;
Lest the sneaking sparks race,
To the living space.

Absolute power,
Corrupts absolutely;
Fire, most acutely.

A flame,
by any other name;
would be the same.

All work and no play,
Makes jack dull;
To see another day.

If action speaks loud
And words quite;
Then the fire says nothing,
It eats without warning.
